Widmeyer Communications offers year round unpaid internships in public relations.
We’re always working the angles. For more than 20 years, we’ve crafted effective messages, forged lasting relationships, secured top media placements, defined brands, advanced issues and ideas and helped individuals and organizations quietly move agendas or boldly take the stage.
Widmeyer Communications’ internship program is designed to give students insight and hands-on experience in the working world of public affairs and public relations.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Drafting press releases/materials
- Updating/building media lists
- Pitching traditional and new media
- Event Planning
- Conducting research
- Maintaining clip reports
- Performing some administrative duties
Qualifications: Sophomore, junior or senior college/university students studying Communications, Journalism, English, Political Science or Marketing. Ideal candidate has excellent written and oral communication skills, a good attitude and willingness to learn.
Hours: The firm’s regular office hours are 9 am to 5:30 pm.
Duration: 8 weeks minimum.
Internship Information:Unpaid. Transportation subsidy is offered to interns on a monthly basis.
