WellPoint hires paid interns in all business units. They have a specific program for actuarial interns.

WellPoint typically hires interns in the areas of actuarial, finance/auditing, and criminal justice, but they hire in all areas of the company as the internships become available. They also offer both paid and unpaid internships. Paid internships salaries vary per hour, depending upon the position and location. Unpaid interns must be eligible to earn academic credit in the form of units and must have proof before the start date of the internship.

Pros: - Smart technologist. - Big company. - Good pay. - Well organized internship program and we got exposure to leaders and business units. Wellpoint treats interns well. Cons: Tech isn't wellpoint's core business, so this seemed like a support role. But, that is to be expected. Advice for other students: Great internship that is well organized. Go to their events on campus and talk to recruiters. they also have actuarial programs.

Pros: - Loved NYC. - Got a better understanding of how enterprise sales works. Ton goes into it. Research, networking, and packaging the product. - Solid pay. Cons: Some intern grunt work, but not too bad. Advice for other students: WellPoint is organized and supports interns. Really enjoyed it there. Found out about them on campus.
