Pros:
This particular technology internship at UnitedHealth Group was outstanding. I worked within this group called the "product and innovation group" and I think their basic role is to bring innovation to UnitedHealth with an emphasis on consumer technology solutions. Everybody in the group was smart as hell. I loved it. During the internship, I was also given freedom and did hands on development. Honestly, I didn't think I would be challenged, but I was dead wrong - lots of complicated work and geez did I love it.
Cons:
nothing
Advice for other students:
The internship surprised me and I really recommend this group.

Pros:
My intern role at UnitedHealth was to help showcase the companies innovations. I worked on securing conference speaking arrangements and sponsorships. UnitedHealth is doing some very cool things n the space. My manager was terrific and I think this will lead to a fulltime role. Overall, great internship.
Cons:
Role wasn't too clearly defined.
Advice for other students:
My advice is to consider a career in the healthcare field - it's growing like crazy and they need young talent.
