Pros:
Looks good on paper. Sometimes have a chance at seeing celebrities and you get to see the reality of working on daytime TV. Also, reading her fan mail is really funny.
Cons:
So many interns there is no way to get noticed. Zero respect from employees. Made us stay late doing bullshit work like filling envelopes. Sometimes worked 12 hour days and would have to stay and wait until we were sure no one was going to call for us. Had to get some people their lunch during the day. Mostly went on runs to get things like dry cleaning and miscellaneous show props. All of the interns have to hang out in what is basically a large closet and wait until the boss yells "I need someone!." Sometimes, on a friday at 6pm, they would ask for a volunteer to take a video tape across town for drop off. I did this once and didnt get home until 11pm. Expected SO MUCH bullshit work for NO pay at all. Many of the employees had a very high and mighty attitude and treated us like crap. PS: Rachael won't even acknowledge your presence.
Advice for other students:
DO NOT take this internship unless you are absolutely desperate. And don't bother putting in extra effort except when it comes to making friends with other employees. There are so many interns that the chances of them hiring you based on your work ethic is unlikely. Every other person I worked with said the same things I'm saying. Save yourself!
