Pros:
- Real, hands on client work.
- Relaxed, but ambitious culture. I know that sounds like a weird mix, but it's true.
- I loved my projects on audience profiling (goals, etc) and socializing content.
- Big clients.
- NYC is a blast to live in and co-workers showed me some great spots around the city.
Cons:
I'm looking forward to digital agencies getting not labeled as "digital"

I highly recommended an internship at The Barbarian Group.

Pros:
My favorite part of the internship was the feedback from the creative directors. I really feel like this internship sharpened my design skills in a way that school and freelance just can't replicate. It was amazing to see the strategy and thinking that went into each project.

The Barbarian Group is going places. They are going to continue to win a ton of accounts.

Pros:
- Got to know the pr business from a digital standpoint. Learned how to reach out to bloggers and online publishers to create links and buzz.
- Co-workers took the time to teach me the principles of SEO.
- Culture was laid back, and kind of a get your work done, but no big deal how you do it. I like that, it shows trust.
- Really creative and cool people.
- Overall, I loved The Barbarian Group internship.
Cons:
I'd love to be a developer here.
Advice for other students:
Know social media. And, if you know any of the monitoring tools, that's also a plus. Also, be aggressive.

Pros:
- Able to work on the GE and Lenovo accounts.
- As an intern, I got real responsibility.
- Authored creative briefs and helped with some Q&A and social media strategies.
- Worked on some new business pitches. This was a fun and intense experience - lot's of energy put into pitches.
- Loved the people.
Cons:
none, loved the internship.
Advice for other students:
Apply creatively and show passion. Overall, the Barbarian Group is a great place to work and push yourself.

- Able to work on really interestig Android and iPhone app creation.
- Laid back and smart culture.
- Good people.
- Worked on the GE brand which was a real treat.
- Earned media thinking.
- Participating in creative concepting.

Landing a fulltime jobs is tough.
Advice for other students:
Dive head first into digital - the advertising space needs smart, digital thinkers.
