At Symantec, internships can be year round or during the summer. Symantec considers an Intern to be an active student (graduate or undergraduate) who is pursuing an education with an accredited college or university in a degree program relevant to Symantec's business.

You and your fellow interns will work closely with your manager and team on real-life projects and assignments that are related to your major and degree. This team focus ensures collaboration and guidance for your future career. Pros: At Symantec, my team and I developed scripts using Selenium and Java. It was relatively interesting work. I had a strong team and a really nice manager. Learned a ton from those guys. Cons: At large companies, you get perks, but I don't think it's as exciting as the startup world. Advice for other students: Know what is more your style - large corporations or startup.
