Pros:
I worked in Suntrust's investment banking unit and really enjoyed it. I was in the energy and power group. I got assigned to two interesting deals and met some great people along the way. I think this will turn into a fulltime job offer if the economy is decent.
Cons:
Be prepared to work hard at Suntrust.
Advice for other students:
Don't be intimidated by the investment banking world.

Pros:
I worked as an investment banking intern at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in Atlanta. The group I was in focused on Focused on M&A advisory and public equity offerings. I had a good boss and overall, it was a great summer internship.
Cons:
Entry level analysts work a ton of hours.
Advice for other students:
I did the whole campus interview process with Suntrust. It was pretty intense, but not too bad. Also, I think a lot of it comes down to GPA, you have to keep your GPA up.

Pros:
- SunTrust Robinson Humphrey has a good repuations in the southeast. It's like a Harris Williams, where smart people know it.
- Exposure.
- People.
- Managing directors, other interns, and people in general are a lot less stuffy than the wall street investment banks.
- Got assigned an interesting deal pitch to work on.
- Direct pipeline to fulltime offer.
Cons:
- Long hours.
Advice for other students:
Go to their information session when they come on your campus (assuming you're in the southeast). Information sessions will be in the fall before they've made selections for interviews.
