Pros:

The major project/goal that was given to me this summer, was to find ways to increase our D.I.Y. accounts or "Do It Yourself" customers. For this project I was given a data base of all of our D.I.Y. customers for our store. I then used that contact list to call on customers to inform them of our up and coming sales and promotions.

Cons:

Lots of phone calls.

Advice for other students:

I worked on on my interviewing skills as well as ways to improve my resume, which I ultimately feel helped me land the internship.

Pros:

- Everyone at Sherwin Williams treated me well.
- I learned about a business from the ground up.
- Marketing project that resulted in a sales increase. It was fun to have the freedom to do this.

Cons:

This wasn't a corporate internship.

Advice for other students:

My advice is to get as much exposure to businesses before you graduate (really before senior year). Internships are a great way to do this.
