Pros:
- Great client roster.
- Loved the people at Ruder Finn.
- Included in all meetings. I really liked the strategy side of the business.
- Happy hours/ office events.
- I felt like my skills and understanding of communications grew.
Cons:
- People work long hours in this industry.
Advice for other students:
My advice is to make sure that you know which part of the PR business you want to get into. For example, I don't love writing press releases or securing media placements, but I do love thinking about strategic communication objectives.

- Talent people.
- High profile accounts.
- DC offices is very into non-profits and good causes.
- Laid back culture, but smart.

Know Ruder Finn's clients before the interview and be aggressive when you get there.
