Pros:

- Extremely intelligent co-workers and managers. It's a very smart culture, but down to earth.
- Lots of data, which I thought would be boring, but know I think it will help differentiate me for entry level marketing jobs.

Cons:

brand not as well recognized as the JP Morgan types.

Advice for other students:

Keep your GPA up and be know about Raymond James for the interview.

Pros:

- Loved Raymond James. Felt like a smaller bank to work for, but the culture was terrific. Down to earth mixed with very sharp minds.
- Supportive of interns.
- Strong employer brand for people that know it.

Cons:

Not Goldman or JP Morgan. haha.

Advice for other students:

Take a look here. Overall, I highly recommend interning here.

Pros:

- Really enjoyed trying to create some custom solutions to certain investment groups. But, didn't get to work on that project too much.
- Good company. Enjoyed Tampa.
- Smart group.

Cons:

Did a lot of the typical IT guy stuff. Not too challenging.

Advice for other students:

Raymond James is a great place. Try to get on technology projects rather than a support role.

Pros:

I basically worked on analyzing individuals portfolios in the wealth management group. Performance reporting, cost analysis, and gain/loss analysis.
- Friendly atmosphere. Very supportive but smart, good mix.

Cons:

Some data entry which got old.

Advice for other students:

This specific Raymond James internship gives you a good look into wealth management. I really enjoyed it. Also, make sure you have a good broker/boss - it will make or break this internship.
