Protiviti Internship & Company Overview

Protiviti is a global business consulting and internal audit firm composed of experts specializing in risk, advisory and transaction services. The firm helps solve problems in finance and transactions, operations, technology, litigation, governance, risk, and compliance.*

Protiviti's internship program is designed to provide Interns with a real-world look at business consulting. Here are just a few of the many things you can expect from an internship with Protiviti:
  • National Intern School - Our 2010 summer Interns will spend their first week with Protiviti at National Intern School. At Intern School, various Protiviti experts from across the country lead sessions on topics ranging from interview skills to teambuilding to the technical components of risk consulting. Of course, it isn't all work and no play! During the evenings, there are a variety of activities planned, ranging from game nights to a boat cruise to team dinners.
  • Mentoring Program - Every Intern is assigned three Protiviti employees who serve as a mentor, buddy or advisor throughout the internship. These individuals give the Intern access to a Protiviti employee at the staff, management, and executive leadership levels of the company. They assist the Intern with goal-setting, answer questions about Protiviti and ensure a productive and positive internship experience.
  • Project Work - Interns perform consulting work on a variety of client engagements and internal initiatives, allowing them to experience challenging projects across our industries and Solutions.
  • Activities - Numerous activities take place throughout the summer to enable our Interns to build relationships with Protiviti professionals and one another. Activities range from baseball games to cultural dinners to community service events.*

Cons:

some down time.

Advice for other students:

I don't know exactly what to make of it, but risk analysis is huge right now. If you can find a way to position yourself as a student candidate that knows how to analyze risk, you'll get a job.
