Progressive Internship & Company Overview
The Progressive Group of Insurance Companies has always lived up to its name by being one step ahead of the insurance industry, and finding new and affordable insurance solutions. We began in 1937 with the first drive-in claims office, became the first to introduce reduced rates for low-risk drivers, and then changed the insurance shopping experience by offering comparison rates on the Web.
Progressive continues to find better ways to serve you with our new and personalized MyRate® program and our Name Your Price® auto insurance pricing option.*

Pros:
Progressive insurance has great internship programs. I really enjoyed spending the summer working within their digital marketing group. I helped manage the digital assets and schedule production - cool to see how the production process works.
Cons:
Not part of the creative process, more organization.
Advice for other students:
Get into digital, it's growing right now and companies are looking for smart digital minds.

Pros:
I took part in a 12 week technology rotational program and got a look into the Network/Telecommunications Group, Mainframe Operations, and Services Group. I also worked on an intern project that I was able to pitch to senior leaders at Progressive and the CIO.
Cons:
Like any company, their is strategic technology mixed with support technology.
Advice for other students:
My advice to tech students is to take business classes so that you can understand why business decisions are made - this will make you more valuable.
