Northrop Grumman offers paid internships across all business units. The majority of interns are hired in the summer months.

Northrop Grumman has five different business sectors: Aerospace Systems, Electronic Systems, Information Systems, Shipbuilding, and Technical Services.
Northrop Grumman internships are typically in line with the student's area of study in school. Most organizations, including Northrop Grumman, utilize their intern program as a pipeline to evaluate and train students for potential full time opportunities upon their graduations.
Our internships are your opportunity to take Northrop Grumman for a "test drive” while you’re still pursuing your degree, regardless of your age. You are able to network and learn from those already pursuing careers in your desired field. Seeing their work on a day-to-day basis and having hands on experiences allow interns to more specifically identify where their passions lie within a specific area. Internships benefit the company as well by giving the organization a chance to evaluate your performance against its long term openings.
We seek rising juniors (those who have completed their sophomore year) through graduate students at accredited colleges and universities. We are, however always looking for high potential students of all grade levels and will design internship opportunities for all students with backgrounds that meet our hiring needs.
Work assignments typically begin in the May/June timeframe and end in the August/September timeframe although, depending on individual business needs, limited opportunities for interns to stay on as a part-time intern, year round may be available. We have several different programs across our company and we typically hire interns from the late fall through the early spring recruiting seasons.
