Pros:
- Office space is very cool.
- Free lunches and coffee everyday. Tasty stuff.
- When I was there, Ning was making big product changes, so there was an exciting buzz around the office. It's fun to be at a place like that.
- Transparent managers which allowed me to learn about how a high growth company is run. I'm very thankful for this.
- Engineers were sharp.
Cons:
Not much, I hope these guys keep on doing well.
Advice for other students:
Ning is a great place to intern as a software engineer. Don't be afraid to offer up ideas or ask questions while you are there.

Pros:
I really enjoyed my work at Ning. I worked in the product management group, which essentially leads teams in sprints that develop new feature sets. My internship was kind of split into two different parts: competitive research and project management. I really enjoyed the research function of the internship. I basically research UX scenerios on competing sites and offered up solutions for Ning. Everybody at Ning was very nice and had a positive outlook and attitude about the company. I was really impressed.
Cons:
None.
Advice for other students:
Ning offers all different types of internships, but they are tough to learn about. Try to meet somebody that works there. Also, make sure you use the product and can talk about it in the interview.
