Network Solutions Internship & Company Overview

Network Solutions pioneered the service for creating and acquiring specific “web addresses” (known as domain name registration), and today offer a full range of Web-related services. In addition to domain name registration, they offer Web site design and hosting, e-commerce solutions, online security products, and search engine marketing and optimization.*

Network Solutions Belleville, IL office offers a Web Design Internship during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Their interns are trained to hold design consultations with our customers, create design drafts, perform design modifications, and produce a final Web site for a satisfied customer. Through training and hands-on experience, our interns learn real world skills such as project management, customer service, time management, conflict resolution and technical coding abilities. Finally, at the end of the program, our interns have built an extensive design portfolio that speaks to their true design skills. Since 2004, 88% of our interns have been hired into full-time positions in online marketing, tech support, finance, testing, and development.*

Pros:

Loved it. I interned with 4 other students and we were tasked to come up with a social networking business plan. They allowed us a ton of freedom. Actually, it was hardly supervised, but we were allowed to meet with anyone in the company. Great experience. Good pay.

Cons:

St. Louis is not the most happening city, but they do have a river boat casino which made for some fun nights after work. Oh, and the Cardinals.

Advice for other students:

Apply early and live outside the city.
