Pros:
- Well structured.
- I went into M&T knowing a lot about finance, but very little about risk maangement. At the end of the summer, I knew a ton about risk mgmt.
- Managing risk is huge right now at these larger banks and I feel very prepared for fulltime interviews/roles.
- Boss at M&T was a great guy.
Cons:
- Don't have the same national reputation as the larger banks.
- Doesn't pay as well as other finance internships. I've got a few friends worked at Goldman and JP Morgan (investment banking) and they are making a scary amount of money.
Advice for other students:
M&T is solid. I recommend it.
