Inspired by our vision of Seamless Mobility, the people of Motorola are committed to helping you get and stay connected simply and seamlessly to the people, information, and entertainment that you want and need. We do this by designing and delivering the "must have" products, "must do" experiences and powerful networks - along with a full complement of support services. A Fortune 100 company with global presence and impact, Motorola had sales of $42.9 billion in 2006.* Internship & Co-op programs in EngineeringHow many times have you heard people complaining about not being able to get a job because they have no experience, and how are they going to get this experience when they can't get a job. Well, we understand this at Motorola, and therefore participate in co-op and internship programs with selected universities throughout Canada, to help students get hands on experience to complement their education. Internship and co-op students are treated as junior engineers. They have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most gifted telecommunications professionals around, on some very exciting projects. Many of our students choose Motorola for full time employment when they graduate. For more information on your school's involvement in this program, please contact your co-op or internship placement office. *

Pros:
- Great summer experience at Motorola.
- People.
- Cool boss.
- I was on a project where I analzed the public safety market. It was fascinating and I think Motorola is going to use my work to go after contracts and solve big issues. It's a cool feeling.
- Chicago is a fun city (might only be in the summer since it's so freaking cold in winter).
- Very smart co-workers.
Cons:
I could tell that people worked long hours.
Advice for other students:
You don't have to be a technologist to work for a huge technology company like Motorola.
