Pros:
- Able to work on real client projects: Mercedes-Benz, a little Arby's, and a little Tic Tac. Loved being assigned real clients. Stretegy meetings were incredible, you learn more in 15 minutes that you can in a whole semester.
- The agency has a good feel. I think that comes from the size. Merkley and Partners is big enough o compete in huge pitches, but small enough that everybody knows everybody else. Can't exactly explain this feel, but I really respect it.
- Everybody was friendly even though I was just an intern.
- Office has a cool rooftop deck, free coffee,
Cons:
nothing. hope this can lead to a fulltime job (we'll see).
Advice for other students:
Apply creatively, even if you're not a creative. Great internship.

Pros:
I really enjoyed working at Merkley and Partners. I was assigned to the Arby's account and assisted in planning and implementation of Arby’s print, radio and television campaigns. I also created weekly reports about the competitive landscape. The people were fantastic. I also got to do a little consumer insights research which I absolutely loved.
Cons:
The account services function is not that glamorous. It's very much organization.
Advice for other students:
Learn digital.

Pros:
I loved interning at Merkley+Partners with the Mercedes Benz account team. Their office was cool and had a rooftop deck (and free coffee). I was also assigned an intern project and pitched a proposal for an up and coming brand - cool concept. I did a little bit of everything on the accounts side like research, billing, status, etc.
Cons:
Times where I didn't have much to do.
Advice for other students:
The advertising business is tough to crack into, doesn't pay well, but it's very fun.
