McGraw-Hill offers paid internships across all business units.

Internship Perks

Some of the McGraw-Hill internship benefits include the fact that interns will be: A vital part of the team. No "coffee-fetching" interns. If we post a position, we really need it and you will have significant work to do. Competitively paid. You get a ton of experience, great networking, and resume building, but you don't have to live on Ramen noodles and mac 'n cheese. (Unless you really like them.) Getting great exposure to leaders. You'll get a chance to meet senior leadership within and without your department, both on the job and at our intern-only events.* Meeting your peers. The McGraw-Hill Internship community is strong; you'll see other interns at Internship Program events throughout the summer...oh, and we have a Facebook page too! Challenged and involved. You'll be brought into projects right away and asked for your input. Be ready.

Pros:

- McGraw-Hill taught me a ton about the pros and cons of online journalism.
- Able to do a little bit of everything. I edited some pieces, worked in a project management function, and learned seo.
- Loved being able to share my knowledge of the social media world and McGraw-Hill listened to me pitch some ideas (we'll see if they run with any of them).
- Great people.
- Paid.

Cons:

Some data entry.

Advice for other students:

For journalism internships, be passionate on the topic you are researching/writing.
