Pros:
Legg Mason assigned me to several projects within the Global Asset Management Group. My manager was a terrific and down to earth guy. I assisted in research for the annual report, compiled/synthesized fund mgmt survey data for presentations/analysis, and helped track comeptitor performance within the space.
Cons:
I would have liked have gained some exposure in the investment banking unit.
Advice for other students:
Legg Mason offers a wide variety of internships with all different types of hiring managers, make sure you know the position and function.
