Pros:
I loved interning at Kohl's - great people and great business. I got along really well with the buying department. My main project was working with floor layouts and doing projections for the home accessories merchandising unit. I had a great summer and learned a ton about retail.
Cons:
It's amazing how specialized each merchandising unit can become.
Advice for other students:
As an intern, don't be afraid to give your creative input. Kohl's did a good job including me on projects and allowed me to pitch concepts.

Pros:
I really enjoyed my merchandising internship at Kohl's - great place. I worked with the merchandising and buying team within the girl's department.
Cons:
- not a ton of freedom.
Advice for other students:
Seeing the buying process firsthand was incredible. My advice is to apply very, very early and follow up.
