Pros:
- I was able to get real, hands on client work. This is huge for when you go to apply for fulltime jobs. I worked on the J&J team. Worked on an app for Zyrtec and Benadryl. Incredible accounts.
- Really enjoyed the creative culture.
- Everybody around the office is nice/friendly/helpful to interns.
Cons:
It's competitive, but supportive.
Advice for other students:
JWT is a great place for a creative internship. Good luck!

Pros:
- Learned how media planning actually works. It's not like the marketing classes you take in school. Much more in depth and a lot of different factors going on.
- Office is cool and other employees are super smart and creative. Hungout on the weekends with a bunch of them which was very fun.
- Exposed to media planning software. Good stuff to know and a valuable skill (I've been told this by all the planners).
- Got to be a part of several high level meetings, which was eye opening and fun.
- Lots of math.
- Something I learned and didn't realize is how often an agency has to "sell" the media plan to the client.
Cons:
Some database and formatting work.
Advice for other students:
Really enjoyed media at JWT. Great agency experience.

Pros:
- Loved working with the media team. Huge resource and tons of audience measurement tools. Didn't realize the amount of measurement and analytics that goes into everything.
- Cool office.
- The whole team was very supportive of interns. Answered questions anytime I had them.
- Intern events that were fun in NYC.
Cons:
Lots of number crunching that I didn't expect.
Advice for other students:
Loved the Macy's account and I highly recommend and internship with JWT.

Pros:
- Developed some content strategies for certain clients. Basically, how to generate new content to drive traffic.
- Really stimulated by the social media planning that I was able to work on. There was a ton of both entertaining work and strategic work.
- Social is important at JWT.
- Got some hard skills from the analytics programs like Radian6.
Cons:
Not sure how this translates into an entry level job. I don't want to be just another freelance writer or social media "pro".
Advice for other students:
I highly recommend an internship at JWT.
