Program Overview
The Corporate Analyst Development Summer Internship Program is designed to develop a pipeline of well-rounded future leaders with core business skills for a variety of business-aligned roles within our company. We seek highly motivated individuals for opportunities within our Corporate Analyst Development Summer Internship Program, which is the primary pipeline for our full-time, rotational Corporate Analyst Development program.
As you a summer intern, you will be will placed into one of our sponsoring business areas to start contributing to the business immediately by building your skill set in one of the four main areas of focus, which mirrors the core business competencies of our full time Corporate Analyst Development Program: project management/process improvement, core operations, operational risk & control, or MIS/analytics/business management. Sponsoring businesses may include: Investment Bank, Treasury & Securities Services, Asset Management, Card Services, Commercial Bank and our Corporate Groups.
The placements within the 10-week summer internship program are focused in the following 4 disciplines to ensure development of these key skills.
· Project Management & Process Improvement
Ø A summer intern will work as a member of a team that provides project management and process improvement leadership. Project management responsibilities include a wide range of activities such as: documenting project scope, workstreams, deliverables, timelines, workplans and outcomes. Projects can vary in scope from tactical implementation of new processes to developing strategic solutions. Process improvement responsibilities are very similar to projects, including a focus on documenting existing processes, defining ways to improve or increase the efficiency of a process, and change management.
· MIS, Analytics, and Business Management
Ø A summer intern will work as part of a team focused on the various disciplines that support the management of a business unit. Such disciplines include data analysis and presentation of findings, objective planning, financial management including budgeting and forecasting, capacity management, vendor management and business performance management.
· Operational Risk and Control
Ø A summer intern will work as part of a team focused on various disciplines within the operational risk area of the business such as self assessments of risk, risk reporting, risk control policies, and information security. Responsibilities may include testing, analysis and procedure documentation.
· Core Operations
Ø A summer intern will work as a member of the critical middle and back office operations functions that process and support the business revenue generating activities. Core operations includes: transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, research, reporting, documentation, client service and onboarding.
Following your successful performance as a summer intern and based on business need, you may be considered for a full time position with our Corporate Analyst Development Program. This unique full time program is designed to develop a core set of business competencies through structured, managed rotations in key functional areas across our Lines of Business and Corporate Groups.

As a summer intern in the Corporate Analyst Development Program, you'll benefit from extensive training and development opportunities - on the job, program-driven and self-directed. The program's training and development strategy aligns with building your skills and exposure around those core business competencies as well as key professional competencies, including leadership, attention to detail, communications excellence and results orientation.
Qualifications
Program Qualifications - What We Look for
The Corporate Analyst Development Summer Internship Program is primarily for students entering their senior year of college, with limited opportunities for rising juniors. Given the highly competitive nature of the program, we look for candidates who are able to hit the ground running and make an immediate contribution. Additional program qualifications include the following:
· Candidates entering their senior year of college, working towards a BS/BA degree, preferably majoring in Industrial Engineering, Management, Business, Accounting, Economics, Operations, Mathematics and/or MIS
· Results-oriented, forward-thinking, confident undergraduates with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5
· A long-term interest in financial markets and the financial services industry
· Relevant internship experience and demonstrated leadership in a school or community organization
· Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills
· Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines plus have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions
· Candidate should be highly adaptable, able to manage multiple projects/deliverables independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility in a team setting.
· Demonstrated intermediate to advanced PC proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential
· Visio, Access, and Business Objects proficiency is desired
· An aptitude for numbers is a must; Non-business majors must demonstrate quantitative aptitude both scholastically and practically
