Pros:
- JP Morgan has great brand recognition. This has served critical for the entry level job hunt. Gave me a leg up. The work also shed light into how the trading floor works and the systems for investments/trade. It was exciting to see.
- Very well organized program with events, feedback, mentors, etc.
- NYC is a blast.
Cons:
- I wish I did more of the investment work. I couldn't get those JP Morgan internships, so I took this one.
Advice for other students:
Overall, good internship. Learned a ton and JP Morgan is on the resume.

Pros:
I basically wrote requirements for new trading tools. Kind of interesting to see the marriage between trading and technology. JP Morgan is a great brand and they pay you well. The internship was well organized and lots of opportunities to meet other departments and have fun. NYC is also a great place to spend the summer.
Cons:
Work flow was tough - had some down time.
Advice for other students:
If you are into finance and technology, JP Morgan IT is a great fit. Also, I knew somebody in the department who recommended me.

Pros:
I enjoyed the variety of projects and sectors I was able to participate in at JP Morgan. Different sectors included: Chemical, Multi-Industry, Metals and Mining, and Aerospace and Defense. The financial work that I loved was batched between discounted cash flow valuations and precedent transaction analysis. I also assisted in ssisted in the creation and production of capital structure analysis, merger of equals, and initial public offering presentations. Overall, I got to see a ton and learn a ton. My managing director was a pretty nice guy as well.
Cons:
I wasn't in love with the JP Morgan culture.
Advice for other students:
JP Morgan gives your resume automatic credibility and during the summer, you will learn the investment world.

Pros:
JP Morgan has one of the best internship programs on wall street. Great people and well organized. Paid well. I prepares materials/research for potential transactions in M&A, capital markets, and private placements. I also got to see the structure for a follow on investment.
Cons:
none.
Advice for other students:
Take advantage of the JP Morgan intern events during the summer and if they come to campus, go.

Pros:
I learned the brokerage and wealth management business at JP Morgan. My boss (and team) included me in research meetings and it was fascinating to be part of the portfolio strategy sessions.
Cons:
This wasn't terrible, but I did do a lot of paperwork organization - like opening new accounts, getting documents to clients, etc.
Advice for other students:
Get interested in the markets and read a ton. JP Morgan is a great place to intern.

Pros:
At JP Morgan Chase, I worked on the Global Real Assets team (investing real estate, infrastructure, alternative real assets). I really enjoyed the team and my boss was a great guy who I've kept in touch with. During the internship, I gained experience in marketing/pitch books, pension fund/institutional clients, competitive research, and RFP process. JP Morgan Chase also does a good job of giving interns constructive feedback.
Cons:
It can be overwhelming at first.
Advice for other students:
Work hard when you are there. The hiring manager works with the university recruiting team to extend offers to high potential interns.

Pros:
JP Morgan has large, technology driven projects that allow the company to function. I got a front row seat in how these systems talk to each other and hands-on work with my boss - servers, databases, reporting, etc.
Cons:
- Being a business analyst for backend systems is not the sexiest role. When most people think of JP Morgan, they think of investment banking, not IT systems. You have to be okay with that.
Advice for other students:
Technology is where it's at.

Pros:
- JP Morgan name.
- The work was interesting. I worked in the work in hedge fund credit risk management group. My team basically assessed risk of certain hedge funds by analyzing fund strategy, allocation, etc.
- Experience in running stress test scenarios.
- Culture.
Cons:
no
Advice for other students:
JP Morgan has outstanding internship programs and they do a good job offering interns fulltime positions. My advice is to keep the GPA high and network with a current JP Morgan employee.

Pros:
I really enjoyed and learned a ton at JP Morgan. The investor relations field is interesting to me because it combines a little bit of marketing with finance. I was able to gain experience helping to put together a quarterly presentation. I gained knowledge of all lines of JP Morgan's business and drivers of their success. Also, I worked on an intern project offering solutions to equity and fixed income clients - good experience.
Cons:
Investor relations is not as core as investment banking and other finance related functions.
Advice for other students:
JP Morgan has one of the best employer brand son wall street. I'd say it's between them and Goldman. Either one makes your resume pop.

Pros:
- Really enjoyd getting to know the JP Morgan traders. They were very smart and it was insightful to learn how they use technology and analysis to make trades.
- Fun office and good time in London.
- Worked primarily with the e-trading middle office to rollout different technology products.
Cons:
- Some of the Q&A work can get mind numbing.
Advice for other students:
Get a handle on technology. Even if you are a finance guy, you'll have a big edge if you know at least the principles of software development.
