JC Penney has positions in several divisions of our Home Office in Plano, TX (just 20 min. north of downtown Dallas) including Information Technology Intern, Procurement Intern and Merchandising Intern.*

The JC Penney internship program provides:

• Transportation to and from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area (airfare or mileage reimbursement
• Housing
• Rental car if needed
• Welcome care package
• A "Get Acquainted" welcome event
• Training sessions with an executive each week for 10 weeks
• Organized social events
• Graduation ceremony

Our 10-week summer Home Office intern programs are high-caliber and include engaging projects and assignments, along with fieldtrips, presentations to leadership teams, and even face time with Company executives.

Pros: Learned merchandising terminology and measurement practices from my boss at JCPenney. I was also able to propose and pitch marketing/sales recommendations to the management level. Cons: - Decent amount of busy work. - Would have loved to have seen more of the buying process. Advice for other students: Devote time and effort to the internship search - they matter when looking for an entry level role.
