Intuit started small in 1983 with Quicken personal finance software, simplifying a common household dilemma: balancing the family checkbook. Little more than two decades later, their revenue tops $3 billion, they're publicly traded on the Nasdaq Stock Market, and recognized as America's most-admired software company and one of the country's best places to work. *Intuit allow interns the chance to innovate. This includes: - White space time: They don't just want to hear about your great idea, you'll get the time to work on it and make it happen.
- Idea Jam: Put your great idea up against other creative geniuses and compete for money, prizes and bragging rights.
- Brainstorm: Use this innovative tool to collaborate with other inventors across the company
- iLab: How many interns get to test drive their ideas with real customers? You could through their Innovation Lab.

Pros:
-I had to take a summer class and they were flexible with my schedule.
-My manager set real goals for me and gave me feedback on my performance. He was also very encouraging about me learning what I wanted to in my time there.
-The pay was great!
-I really enjoyed the intern events.
Cons:
-My manager/team wasn't really prepared for me to start, but it resulted in an extension of my internship once they placed me on some projects.
-They didn't really have a growth path in mind. However, I was able to network in that time and find another full time opportunity elsewhere in the company.
Advice for other students:
Utilize this as an opportunity to network. The more people you partner with on projects, and show your strengths to, the more likely you are to be rehired.
