- IBM provides a clear path for how your career can develop.
- Very well organized.
- Show you the whole company.
- Good pay.
Cons:
Had a couple times where work flow wasn't good (kind of bored).
Advice for other students:
Great name on the resume and they hire a bunch of smart technologists.

Pros:
- Fun and smart IBM brand marketing team.
- I worked on the Engines of a Smarter Planet, which I loved. I think this is a brilliant campaign.
- Exposure/access to the mobile and social world. I think mobile is going to blow up in the next couple years.
- Got to see the client and agency working relationship as my IBM worked a ton with the Ogilvy and Mather team.
- Facebook publishing and brainstorming.
- Participation.
Cons:

Advice for other students:
Getting some big brand client side experience is very valuable in starting a brand management career.

- Loved the other interns that I worked with. We still keep in close touch and they were smart.
- IBM does a good job giving interns freedom to create.
- Hands-on with cloud computing configuration.
- Highly technical.
- Good company name on the resume.

Freedom is both good and bad.

I recommend and internship with IBM, good experience with great people.

- Mix of sales and technology support.
- Worked with IBM's network admins, network engineers, systems analysts, and sales reps. I was able to see many different roles within IBM.
- People.
Cons:
Not located at headquarters.

If you know technology AND you can sell, you're going to have a lot of career opportunities.

Pros:
- Worked with strategic Healthcare clients - Kaiser, Blue Shield, and McKesson.
- I got to work and participate in face to face client meetings.
- IBM has tons of opportunity for advancement.
- Organized.
- Events.
Cons:
- Not too creative.
- Healthcare is highly regulated.
Advice for other students:
There is a ton of money in enterprise software sales. It's incredible the size of some of these contracts. Very fun to intern on this scale at IBM.
