Pros:

- Fleishman-Hillard has a good reputation in the PR industry.
- Experience building media strategy.

Cons:

- Some typical intern type work that can get kind of boring. Creating media list, clips, etc.
- Unpaid.

Advice for other students:

Internships are hot right now. Tons of applicants. Stand out. My advice is to apply creatively and get a referral from within the company.

Pros:

I loved my internship with Fleishman Hillard. I worked in the healthcare client group and spent a lot of time on Tamiflu. I was given real experience writing pitch letters, making media lists, and working on strategic partnerships with different media outlets.

Cons:

-Difficult to crack into PR industry.

Advice for other students:

Be resilient.

- Fleishman Hillard has a good reputation within the industry and this led to an easier entry level job hunt.

Cons:

- Drafting email pitches and monitoring media can get repetitive.

Advice for other students:

Start promoting something. PR companies like that entrepreneurial passion.
