Pros:
- Freedom to pitch and create stories.
- I was treated as an equal, not a lowly intern.
- The conversations around the office are fascinating, it's awesome.
Cons:
None. Although I imagine turning this into a full time position after senior year will be close to impossible, but we'll see.
Advice for other students:
Fast Company is an amazing place with very intelligent people that well challenge your ideas.

Pros:
I did a little bit of everything as a editorial intern at Fast Company. I worked with specific writers to help research articles and listing they were putting together. I also was given the freedom to write a couple stories and was published online which was pretty cool. The vibe around the office is very optimistic and I responded well to the business/tech interests of everyone.
Cons:
no.
Advice for other students:
When you are at Fast Company, don't wait for work to come to your desk, go after it and the writers and editors will respond to you. Also, learn about digital media sales - it's interesting and good thing to know whether you actually do it or not.
