Pros:
- Growing like crazy (as you can tell from the news). This growth made interning there very exciting and you can tell the employees thrive on it.
- Office, food, drinks, etc.
- Facebook culture.
- Smart engineering team.
- Worked with Hadoop/Hive queries.
- PHP and JavaScript experience.
Cons:
The office is not as spacious as you would think. It's more newsroom style.
Advice for other students:
Facebook hires a good amount of interns and it's really freaking fun. It's kind of dreamy in a nerdy way.

Pros:
- People.
- Perks.
- It's Facebook.
- I worked on the infrastructure and systems that Facebook uses to fight fake accounts, spam, etc. It was interesting stuff.
- Good pay.
- They hire a ton of entry level as well.
- Food, drinks, events, etc.
- I felt like my projects were important.
Cons:
It's not your own statup - that's it. Otherwise, I'd argue is the top place for technologists (just past Google).
Advice for other students:
Get read for puzzle type interview questions and coding questions. They're not too bad.
