Internship (Summer 2012) Production Operations

Production Operations Internship position will be involved in technical operating positions in all phases of television for domestic and/or international production. This role include, but are not limited to: server based non-linear edit, Master Control, videotape and/or media record and play out, studio cameras, video shading and more.

Responsibilities
Operating positions may include all phases of television for domestic and/or international production. Roles include, but are not limited to: server based non-linear edit, Master Control, media record and play out, studio cameras, video shading and more. Candidates must maintain knowledge of television standards and information, operating systems, broadcast equipment, signal flow and distribution and applicable ESPN Standard Operating Procedures. Other administrative duties often include daily shift reporting and required participation at periodic staff meetings.

Basic Qualifications
You must be currently matriculating within a degree program and in good academic standing; available for employment within 12 months of the internship. Graduation date of August 2012, December 2012, or May 2013. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Intern must be able to provide his/her own transportation to and from work (Note: There is no public transportation available in this area.)

Preferred Qualifications
Hands on experience in any of the studio or edit systems offered as well as campus control room operations and/or previous internship in operations. Solid written communication skills and computer literacy. Strong interest and desire in pursuing a career in an operations role Communications, television production and/or electronic journalism backgrounds

Required Education
High School Diploma or GED
