Sure, we're digital and social, but we're also analog and one-to-one. Here, it's about being closer to customers. And in their ability to generate rapid return. Pros:
- Worked on multiple client accounts which was really enjoyed. Eric Mower has a bunch of very different clients (b2b, b2c).
- Everybody was friendly and welcoming.
- I worked a lot in new media and monitoring social and blog content. It was pretty interesting and I learned the guts of the business. Also, online media relations is a rapidly growing field.
Cons:
Eric Mower isn't a huge agency. Unpaid kind of stinks, but I received college credit and only worked about 10-20hrs per week.
Advice for other students:
Be proactive and seek out work from the account executives. Don't wait to be told to do stuff.
