eBay offers paid summer internships in all business units with a focus on the following majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Human Factors, Information Technology, Finance and Marketing. All eBay internships are 10-12 weeks and most internships are located in San Jose, CA. 

Interns receive competitive salaries and holiday pay and attend events such as at seminars on eBay Values, history, technology, and business; company meetings; a summer picnic and other company sponsored events during your internship. Participation in social activities through the summer for interns only.*

Pros: - Good perks. - eBay name. - Worked with Java. - Very smart engineering colleagues. Cons: Doesn't have to same reputation in the technical community as it did several years ago. Advice for other students: Good spot for an engineer. I've got confidence in eBay.

Pros: I worked as a product manager with the Buyer Experience (Search Apps team). - Given freedom and trust to bring a product to market. - eBay culture. - Smart technologists. - Experience in writing product requirement definition docs. Cons: eBay isn't the same technology brand as it used to be. Advice for other students: As an MBA intern, I wanted to be given real responsibility and the chance to lead a product launch - eBay enabled me to do just that. My advice is to find a company that is going to give you the freedom to ship products/ideas.
