Walt Disney hires about 2,200 summer interns. Their internship programs are across all lines of business and includes Disney Professional Internships, Disney Career Start Program, Disney Imaginations Program, and Disney International Program. These are all paid internships and most are located in Orlando, FL and Anaheim, CA.

Highlights

Disney internships are extremely well organized and created for students to gain exposure to the front lines of Disney's business.

Internship & Disney Overview

As a part of the Disney College Program at the Disneyland® Resort in Anaheim, California, or Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, Florida, participants can take part in the internship of a lifetime.

While working in front line roles at Disney Theme Parks and Resorts, participants will network with leaders, learn transferable skills, gain real-world experience, and be a part of a team of Cast Members from hundreds of job disciplines.

Participants on the Disney College Program also custom design a learning curriculum that best suits their needs and interests, complete education courses and specialized learning activities, and can possibly earn college credit while doing so.*

Pros:

Absolutely loved my internship. I worked in Entertainment as a Character Performer. I was able to train in parades and shows based on my performance and animation abilities, and the opportunities I was given through Disney were phenomenal. The hours are somewhat hectic and the days of the week don't really exist, but it's definitely worth it. If you set your mind to it, you can save up money while working down in Orlando, but you have to be diligent about it! Overall, amazing experience!

Cons:

Lot of work, but worth it.

Advice for other students:

Disney has a bunch of interesting internship programs, pick the one you'll love.

Cons:

It's still sales at the end of the day.

Advice for other students:

Things are moving online. Smart interactive sales people can make a heck of a lot of money.
