Pros:
Dean Foods is a collection of some really strong brands that you have no doubt seen at the grocery store. My internship in their marketing department was good experience. I got to see how much attention was paid to promotional, advertising, and brand positioning. I learned the most about how in store display advertising and shelf space works - it's incredible.
Cons:
People have heard of the regional brands, but not everybody has heard of "Dean Foods."
Advice for other students:
I think this is one of those hidden gem type internships, go for it.

Pros:
- I know know the dairy category better than the back of my hand.
- Able to work with several large dairy brands across all different types of media.
- The Dean Foods marketing team is a fun group of people and I still keep in touch with several of them.
Cons:
I hope my category knowledge can translate.
Advice for other students:
Dean Foods is a great place to learn about brand management, start to finish.
