Pros:
- I now know a scary amount about the dental category after interning with TotalCare.
- Enjoyed the email and other digital campaigns. I found this to be a passion of mine and I really got into the analytics side of these marketing campaigns.
- Did a little bit of database and point of sale promotions. All relatively interesting.
- Incredibly smart and talented marketers.
- Pay was pretty good, I had bunch of friends take unpaid internships, so I'm glad Danaher was paying!
- The best part of the internship for me was learning how a company really runs their brand management departments. I've interned for a little bit at an ad agency, but you don't really understand the client side from just agency work.
Cons:
Danaher, is an incredible company with strong management, but most people haven't head of it. Not even in the same conversation as P&G and Unilever.
Advice for other students:
Tell your manager which projects you are passionate about and he/she will no doubt allow you more freedom and time to work on those passions.

Pros:
I worked on accounts payable and a couple special projects, which provided some much needed variety. The accounts payable work allowed me to learn what this dept does day to day and the Danaher accounting systems. This is a ton of detail work and journal entry type stuff. I also learned what a pain the butt it can be to try and get paid by a bunch of vendors! Created speadsheets to reference how old some of the accounts payables were - these were very important for the balance sheet.
Cons:
Some of the accounts payable work can get very monotonous.
Advice for other students:
Good company.

Pros:
Able to see all aspects of investor relations including financial reporting, research, and analysis. Worked with some of the companies top executives.
Cons:
Danaher is a huge company, but not too many people know it.
Advice for other students:
Danaher is a great company. Also, investor relations is interesting - you get to see all the different aspects of a companies financials and the strategy to explain them.
