Pros:
- Did a little bit of design work on presentations since I knew photoshop.
- Everybody at Centene was friendly.
- The technology problems/opportunities were interesting, but we seemed to be patching holes instead of creating innovative new systems.
Cons:
- Did some typical intern work. Coordinated messages, presentations, wtc.
- Company didn't have a great culture where learning was prioritized.
Advice for other students:
I like Centene, but I didn't love the internship. There are some great people there though.

Pros:
I worked within the accounting group on special projects. My boss really helped and I'm thankful for the high level conversations that we had. The actual work I did was a little internal audit, little forecasting, and a little bit of financial statement presentation stuff. Not sure Centene used a lot of my work product. \
Cons:
- workflow for me was an issue.
- Centene felt large and had the issues that a large company would have (communication, bureaucracy, etc).
Advice for other students:
Know excel. No matter where you do your finance internships, you are going to use it a ton.
