Pros:
I helped put together quarterly numbers and forecasts for specific business units. This gave me an inside view of what if would be like working within a large company's finance dept. The internship program was well organized and there was events, information before I got there, and time to network.
Cons:
I'm still on the fence between corp finance and taking the public accounting route.
Advice for other students:
Once you get to Cardinal, get involved and talk to as many finance people as possible because some projects are more interesting than others.

Pros:
-Communications at a large scale.
- The whole Cardinal Health PR department was friendly and welcomed me with open arms. My co-workers took me out to lunch a bunch of times and asked questions about my life, not just work related.
- For the most part, all employees at Cardinal seemed to be happy with their jobs.
- Enjoyed the variety of PR projects I was able to work on: events, press releases, internal comm, trade show, and online media.
Cons:
I wish I got to see more departments and learn about creative production.
Advice for other students:
Make sure you send in a great writing sample and that you can talk about the goals of the sample, etc. Also, if you can bring online skills in media, make sure to tell the recruiters. Overall, I really enjoyed Cardinal Health, they are a good company.

Pros:
Engineers work on healthcare projects that are literally changing the landscape of care. Therefore, it makes the work very interesting because you feel like you're helping people, even as an intern.
Cons:
Because of the nature of the work, you don't just get thrown into the mix and receive freedom/hands on projects.
Advice for other students:
Loved the internship. Also, they hire all different types of engineers, so read up and talk to the recruiters.

Pros:
Loved the concepting meetings when we all sat down and tried to come up with key marketing messages that were on brand. I also got feedback on my performance as an intern which was really interesting. I've never received work feedback before, so this was helpful.
Cons:
Not the sexiest brand to market, but you learn more with a brand like this.
Advice for other students:
Cardinal is a great place and you'll get hands on marketing experience.

Pros:
- Freedom and responsibility.
- Well organized and HR is always there to help with logistics or questions.
- Feedback from the people you work with and your manager, which is kind of intense, but good to know.
- Cardinal assigns you a mentor and you can talk careers, etc.
- I got put on 2 interesting projects that were analyzing costs and operational outcomes. It was great to work with the data and know that I could make a financial impact on the company.
- Learned about Six Sigma.
Cons:
Not much, it's a well run internship program.
Advice for other students:
Show the cardinal recruiters that you can take large amounts of data, filter the data, and use this to make better business decisions.

Pros:
- Worked on both architecture and actually application development.
- What I really liked about the Cardinal IT group was that they were strategic problem solves. They thought about the problem instead of just saying yes to people or copying other solutions.
Cons:
I wish I could have seen a project from start to finish, but at a big company it's tough to do this within an internship time period.
Advice for other students:
I kind of stumbled across the Cardinal IT internship (I wouldn't have looked for it), but it was absolutely terrific - especially if you want to get into enterprise software.
