Pros:
Got to lead two projects for Purina's Chef Michaels from brief to executions. Handled all client communications and creative briefings. Our intern project was for a non-profit. I handled all client communications. We were briefed on day one and then the whole campaign was all up to us.
Cons:
I had to go back to school after the 10 weeks
Interview Questions & Process:
The application process was through Twitter. 13 tweets in 13 days to introduce yourself to CM. Then you got called for a Skype interview. Half an hour with human resources and half an hour with the account management team
Advice for other students:
Look for a way to stand out during the application process. If you get be proactive, ask tons of questions and make the most out of the intern project. It's probably the best part of the internship.

Pros:
If you want to be the best, work for the best! The Lucky 13 internship isn't something "fun" to do for the summer: it's advertising bootcamp and you wont find another program like it!Everyone at the agency is extremely nice and always willing to lend a helping hand no matter the task.
Cons:
There is always free food around! You'll surly gain a "lucky" 13 pounds!
Advice for other students:
Be yourself and don't be afraid to ask questions! You're there to learn!

Pros:
It's all too common that shops treat their interns as an afterthought - the L13 program is not one of these shops.
Simply put, Campbell Mithun offers one of the most comprehensive internship programs in the advertising industry. Having interned at big shops in NYC and my subsequent work at shops in SF & LA, I can tell you that it is rare that an agency this size invests in the development of their interns as much as CM. From the Welcome Package to the farewell party, everything about my experience was top notch and positioned me to land my first position as an AAE. The account services experience, in particular, was a well oiled machine. At the end of my internship I understood the purpose of status calls, creative briefings, creative presentations and the ever important re-caps. In addition to the day-to-day work, the camaraderie CM fostered among interns was like nothing I've ever experienced. To this day, I'm in touch with just about everyone I interned with and we continue to leverage the L13 network for job leads, partnerships and good laughs.
As a testament to this program, I structure the development of my own interns and jr. employees based on my experiences with the L13 program.
Cons:
The client/product isn't as sexy as shops on the coasts. However, the product is always strategically sound and managed in a manner that impresses their clients.
Advice for other students:
Take the L13 project(s) seriously. It's a great way to meet people outside your assigned team and expand your network.

Pros:
Agency welcomed intern group, gave us credit for bringing more energy into the agency; with media program, was able to experience both planning and buying worlds; projects were interesting and competitive against other fellow interns; reputation for program in Mpls Ad Industry was a huge resume booster.
Cons:
N/A
Advice for other students:
This internship is well organized and sets you up for success within the agency and ad industry world. Other larger agency internship programs feel like they get lost in the shuffle of day-to-day agency life, where as this agency makes the Lucky 13 internship program king.

Pros:
Oh my goodness, this internship was amazing. I became super close to all the other interns and I learned what it's like to work at an ad agency day in and day out. Everybody at Campbell Mithun was outstanding to us interns and easy to work with - I could tell they took pride in their well known internship program. As an account intern, I was able to see and participate in research, positioning, creative, and media. I worked on a large consumer packed goods client.
Cons:
none.
Advice for other students:
I would argue that while CP+B and Ogilvy have great summer internship programs, Campbell Mithun's program is better.

Pros:
Campbell Mithun taught me the media side of the ad business. I had done some entrepreneurial things on a small scale, but this really opened my eyes on how media worked. I was especially interested in online display media buys. I was able to work on the Hartford and SuperValu accounts. Oh also, this led to an entry level position.
Cons:
none
Advice for other students:
This is one of the most respected ad agency internships. Be creative when you apply, seriously, be creative!

Pros:
- Real life actual client projects.
- Campbell Mithun culture is incredible. It's refreshing and energizing. I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true. It's one of those places where you love going into work each day.
- My fellow interns were terrific. Nice, friendly, and smart. We went out together and I still keep in touch with most of them.
- This internships is pretty well known, which lends credibility when you go to apply for other jobs. This is huge.
- I can't say enough good things. Overall, fantastic internship.
Cons:
nothing
Advice for other students:
Be creative when applying and be relentless. When you get there, don't wait for assignments, make your own work.
