Campbell Ewald Internship Program Information
Cambell-Ewald hires interns across all advertising fields. Interns are hired into account planning, account services, interactive, media, strategy, and creative.
About Campbell Ewald
Cambell-Ewald is a full service ad agency. There's a current of conversation buzzing - conversations that take place between people and brands. We listen to these conversations online, in homes, and on the streets. We monitor what is being said about a brand, how loud the conversation is, where it is taking place, who is talking, who is listening, who is promoting the brand, who is detracting from it, and how influential these people are. Then we create conversation. We shape it. We change it. We build brand advocates and product endorsers. It's the art of conversation - and it's what we do best.

Pros:
Real-world work environment
They had us present to the senior management- great experience and exposure
Cons:
We were told they would hire the interns who performed well (and HR told me specifically to keep following up regarding this in the following weeks) It was the most talented group of individuals I've come across during my 4 different internships. They hired none of us. Liars!
Advice for other students:
Apply early, work hard, but don't expect anything to come of it.

Pros:
-Awesome work environment! The people here are friendly and helpful, and genuinely want to see you succeed.
-Tons of opportunities for hands-on work. I had several of my projects sent directly to our client, and most of the work I completed was given to me directly by my Account Supervisor, or even the Account Director.
-Hard work is recognized. Throughout my internship, management and HR encouraged me to apply and interview for openings within the company. I was eventually offered a permanent position.
Cons:
-There's a summer long group project where you work on all levels of a campaign: accounts, media, digital, creative, etc. It's a challenge though, so don't take it lightly. Overall I enjoyed it, but there's little room for mistakes.
Advice for other students:
-Apply for this position early on and check to see if one of C-E's recruiters is doing any on-campus interviews at your institution. I completed my first round interview in November at my university.
-C-E takes great pride in hard-work. They recognize those who make a real effort to pitch in and treat those employees well. If you're looking to coast by or expect special treatment, then look elsewhere.

Pros:
• Worked closely with clients, directors, account, and team members
• Upper leadership and executives know you on a first-name basis and take the time to meet you
• Human Resources department is awesome and are always willing to help/answer questions
• Great minds at CE
Cons:
• Payment periods are a little screwy - I worked over a month before I ever got paid
Advice for other students:
This internship is an awesome opportunity. CE works on big accounts but still has a smaller atmosphere that will allow you to be face-to-face with clients, which many internships don't allow.

Pros:
I shadowed an AE, setup meetings, made budgets, trafficked ads, and did some research. It was fascinating to see how things work. I loved it.
Cons:
I wish I got to do more real work, but looking back on it, I should have taked more initiative.
Advice for other students:
Campbell Ewald is terrific!
