Pros:
- Rotated between recruiting, benefits, and HR strategy group. I loved this because I was able to see how each HR group function at BMS.
- Speaker series with executives where they explain Bristol Myers Squibb strategy and how career progression may work there.
- Performance reviews which is interesting and orientation which is helpful to meet other interns and co-workers.
- You also can get a mentor to talk over careers and how things work. You can tell that BMS uses these internships as a direct pipeline to entry level offers.
Cons:
Very large company. I'm not sure I want to work a place where you have to be very specialized.
Advice for other students:
Bristol Myers Squibb is a solid place to intern and almost everybody knows their brand.

Pros:
- Work on real life projects which is great from work flow (I was never bored). These projects gave me a real view of what I would do as a business analyst (which is kind of a vague title).
- Able to meet with several different groups and learn where I might want to work within BMS.
- Performance review at the end of my BMS internship was insightful.
- As an intern, I was also able to meet with a mentor and some key execs to learn about what if may be like to work fulltime at BMS. After the internship, I realized that I loved the company.
Cons:
nothing.
Advice for other students:
Bristol Myers Squibb is a great internship to see how a large corporation functions.
