Pros:
Got a feel for what to expect day-to-day in an advertising agency (you never know what to expect, things are forever changing...), learned from the best on how to succeed in account services, made a lot of great connections, great team to work with, I received a $500 stipend at the end of the internship
Advice for other students:
Go for it.

Pros:
BooneOakley was my introduction to advertising, and helped me learn a lot about the industry and how it works. I got to work on some of the projects for their clients, listen in on meetings, and feel apart of the agency. Because it is a small agency, I got a chance to work with almost everyone at one point or another, and I felt comfortable asking questions and asking for help.
Cons:
Very few, but I did feel like sometimes I did not have very much work to do, while other times, I felt slightly overwhelmed! Still, I enjoyed the challenge.

Pros:
Although the agency is awarded, BooneOakley is also small. The leadership is friendly, available, and open to ideas. I was able to leave the summer with produced work that was actually picked up by Agency Spy.
Cons:
The internship was very unorganized. I only gained what I did from it because I actively sought out work. I did A LOT of menial stuff, but it all paid off when I decided to go ahead and produce something of my own for the agency.
Interview Questions & Process:
A few emails and networking opportunities at my school got me connected with Greg and David.
Advice for other students:
This internship is absolutely what you make it. I'm sure everybody's experience will be very circumstantial.

Pros:
BooneOakley was my first internship in the advertising industry and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everyone was so kind and served as mentors, not just co-workers. I got to work on two major projects over the summer with the other interns and enjoyed responsibility that I feel like I wouldn't have had a larger agency.
Cons:
None
Interview Questions & Process:
In order to get the internship at BooneOakley I connected with a co-worker who graduated from the same university as myself, but everyone is open and willing to talk to potential interns. I feel like emailing anyone at the agency could lead to an internship if you have the right attitude/qualifications.
Advice for other students:
If you have a passion for advertising and are willing to work hard then you will love working at BooneOakley.

Pros:
- Open, collaborative workspace
- Work directly with senior creatives/president
- They look for disruptive ideas - always pushing the envelope
- Everyone is excited to work - great atmosphere
Cons:
- None, really!
Advice for other students:
BO is an incredibly personable, welcoming environment. They expect the interns to work just as the full-time employees. You'll never feel like an intern as long as you demonstrate eagerness to share your talent and learn about ad life.

Pros:
-full immersion in agency life
-work with a lot of different clients and exciting projects
-fun people, cool space, looked forward to coming in every day
-never felt like an intern, always felt like a part of the team
Cons:
-unpaid (get stipend at the end), making it tough to pull off unless you live in Charlotte or work a second job
-have to pick things up really quick, no real training
Advice for other students:
Try to meet with someone who works there in the area you're wanting to intern in. They rarely post internships. Get a foot in the door somehow and be persistent!

Pros:
The office is amazing. I got to work on a number of regional accounts and loved it. They have a basketball court inside their office.
Cons:
Had to do some organizational tasks, but I was okay with that.
Advice for other students:
Internships are impossible to get here, find a way in through an employee.
