Pros:
- Boeing allowed me to gain knowledge in aviation, engineering, and business.
- Worked in invetory cost control and risk analysis for plane parts. Very detailing and interesting.
- Great people.
- Challenging work assignments.
Cons:
- My internship at Boeing was working on a very specific project (plane).
Advice for other students:
My advice is to get to know your manager and other co-workers very well. They are going to be the ones that evaluate whether or not they want to bring you on fulltime. Also, try to figure out who the "hiring manager" is for your group.

Pros:
I had a summer internship in Boeing's Commercial Aviation Services Marketing Group. While I was there, I worked on various projects including: Info Snacks project for the Commercial Aviation Services sales team, brochure design, and other marketing collateral. The best part of the internship was working across teams - I worked hand in hand with the branding/positioning team and the creative/graphic design team. Boeing is also a well known company and employees had pride in where they worked.
Cons:
Boeing is huge, so you can feel a little bureaucracy at times.
Advice for other students:
Maintain a high GPA.

Pros:
- Boeing taught me the procurement process. I learned a ton about contract negotiations, sending out RFPs, and the logistics for selecting providers.
- People at Boeing.
- Paid.
- Well recognized company.
- Other interns were a lot of fun.
- Intern project for Gen Y engagement and retention (presented to senior leaders).
Cons:
Not sure that procurement is the career path that I'd like to take.
Advice for other students:

- If boeing comes to your campus, go.
- Take as many internships as possible during college so that you can try out different career paths.
