Pros:
- Gained valuable experience on the Bloomberg Terminal.
- This was a paid internship.
- Loved tagging along for the sales demos to the Bank of America traders in New York.
- Bloomberg setup an intern project where we worked to improve the analytics offering.
- Great boss and other interns.
Cons:
Some times I felt like I was shadowing a little to much.
Advice for other students:
Bloomberg is an incredible place to intern and well respected in the industry. I also must say that Wall Street is an exciting place to work.

Pros:
I had a great summer at Bloomberg in NYC. Their office and the people were terrific, I really enjoyed it. I worked within the Municipal Bond Group and supported them on several projects. I was able to work independently and given freedom to execute and present my findings. I specifically worked on the Municipal Fundamentals Initiative. Bloomberg is one heck of a place to intern, loved it.
Cons:
Not sure what they did with most of my project work.
Advice for other students:
If you want to get into finance, you need to be in NYC working at a place somebody has heard of.

Pros:
- Gained Bloomberg Professional Global Product Certification.
- Bloomberg has a good reputation.
- Paid nicely.
- The work was relatively interesting. I basically made account adjustments and reconciliations.
Cons:
Accounting work got a little tedious, but most accounting work does. It's good to have an accounting background when you go to interview for investment banking type jobs rather than straight business admin.
Advice for other students:
Bloomberg also has a bootcamp/workshop type offering that you might want to look into.

Pros:
- Great projects.
- My manager and co-workers were all brilliant in finance and technology. Cool combination.
- Loved the project we worked on; analyzing SEC insider holding dosuments and trying to come up with a better way to input and display insider and company management information.
- NYC and paid.
- They hire entry level.
- Knowledge of the Bloomberg terminal.
Cons:
Can be tough to know which line of business within Bloomberg you want to work and get promoted through.
Advice for other students:
Technology is incredibly hot right now. I think students that know technology and finance are a good position.
