Pros:
I basically served as an advertising consultant and called businesses all over the United States, from East coast to West coast. The businesses ranged from beauty salons and doctors to die cutters and fabricators.
It sounds like a long day, but really time flies because of all the interesting people that you get to talk to on the phone.
I was treated like regular full-time employees, instead of pushing papers all day.
I learned how the chain of command is carried down, as well as how competitive the position is. I also set a personal goal to increase my confidence in myself by being confident in what I'm doing and by increasing my communication skills.
Cons:
cold calling
Advice for other students:
If you don't like sales, At&t has all different types of internships.
Also, don't wait until the summer before your senior year to start applying.

Pros:
This internship was part of AT&T's Financial Leadership Program. I worked on a specific business unit. I really enjoyed seeing the whole unit (from a financial viewpoint). Worked on forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow analysis.
Cons:
Huge company. Bureaucracy and moves pretty slow. But overall, not much in terms of "cons."
Advice for other students:
Overall, enjoyed the AT&T internship. Good luck with the search.
