Pros:

- Given real responsibility.
- The work Alloy gave me included: executing events for US Cellular and Lifestyle condoms, recruiting and evaluating brand ambassadors, and running an online sweepstakes.
- I came in aggressive and was able to see projects start to finish.
- Intelligent staff and CEO.
- Cool office.
- Alloy's business is positioned to take off and very differentiated from a traditional agency.
- Paid $10/hr.

Cons:

Experiential marketing requires a lot of labor and organization.

Advice for other students:

My advice is to try to work at Alloy or a digital advertising firm. Marketing/advertising is changing, don't get stuck at one of the huge agencies that moves slow.

Pros:

- Learned social media monitoring tools and how to measure/score engagement.
- Cool office/coffee/food.
- Great people to work with and hungout with my team after work in Chicago.
- Performed a content roadmap for different online channel promotions.

Cons:

- Direct response advertising is intense and analytical. I think it kind of stifles creativity.
- Also, online education is crazy. I didn't realize how much money was at stake.

Advice for other students:

Alloy is a great place to intern and start a career.

- Creative brainstorming sessions.

Cons:

I started off too shy, don't do this.

Advice for other students:

My advice is to know the trends and be active in social/mobile/geo. And, I fully recommend interning at Alloy Media.
