Pros:
I was a Finance Analyst Intern on the Fuels & Emissions Trading team at Alliant Energy Corporation in Madison. Our team supported operations with financial analysis, budget planning and procurement of coal, chemicals, bio-fuels and emissions securities.
I loved my internship because of the work/project I was assigned to. I created a financial model to evaluate the return on investment for multiple energy storage technologies.

Advice for other students:
As, an MBA student, I loved this and it led to a fulltime job.

Pros:
When I worked as a summer intern with Alliant Energy, my boss and co-workers listened to my ideas and implemented things I suggested. My ideas were valued, and I felt like part of the team.
Advice for other students:
There are more engineering and tech internships, but they do have marketing and other business functions. Great experience!
