Pros:

Insurance is not the most cutting edge industry, but that just means that innovative interns can make more of an impact! I was deeply involved in several projects and was doing work that was equal to employers- no copying, coffee or stereotypical intern duties.

Cons:

Insurance isn't glamorous.

Advice for other students:

Great chance of this leading to an entry level job.

Pros:

- Well structured.
- AIG let's you see a number of different business units.
- Loved my co-workers. We hungout in the city a ton.

Cons:

Doesn't look nearly as good on the resume as before the whole crisis.

Advice for other students:

I think you have a decent chance to land an AIG internship because the brand is down and thus applications are down.
