Archer Midland Daniels Internship & Company Overview
The ADM internship program is coordinated through their corporate headquarters in Decatur, Illinois. However, students have the opportunity to make their mark in a variety of locations across the country, with an emphasis on the U.S. Midwest. Their internship program promotes the professional development of students while providing a training ground for potential future employees -- it's their most important pipeline for full-time talent. The 11-week experience kicks off with orientation in May where interns learn about ADM, participate in activities to help them grow professionally and personally, and gain a better understanding of what the program has to offer. Interns experience real-world responsibilities and have multiple opportunities to learn about the company and the agriculture industry. Internship requirements vary from one department or job type to another, but all must provide proof of their eligibility to work in the U.S., and pass a drug screen and background check. Students are responsible for providing their own means of transportation. These are paid internships, but health benefits are not included. Standard costs for relocating to and from an assigned location are reimbursed.* Every day, the 27,000 people of Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) turn crops into renewable products that meet the demands of a growing world. At more than 230 processing plants, they convert corn, oilseeds, wheat and cocoa into products for food, animal feed, chemical and energy uses. They operate the world’s premier crop origination and transportation network, connecting crops and markets in more than 60 countries. Their global headquarters is in Decatur, Illinois. *
